In the third cricket test match which started on 15th February at Rajkot against England, debutant Sarfraz khan got run out unfortunately at a score of 62 in 66 balls.
This is the first test match of Sarfraz after a long struggle of getting into the Indian team despite scoring heavily in the domestic circuit in last few years.
In his first match, Sarfraz played a magnificent knock, he was super confident during his inning, he was extra aggressive against the spinners and he showed that how a batter should play sweep shots on a turning pitch.
When it was looking like a possible century for Sarfraz, there was a mix up with Ravindra Jadeja for a single, Jadeja played the shot at mid-on and called for a single, Sarfraz responded but Jadeja said no at the last moment and by that time it was too late for Sarfraz, he got run out on a direct throw from England fielder. Earlier,
in the morning, Sarfraz got his test cap from former legendary cricket Anil Kumble, later he met his father and wife to show his test cap to both of them, those moments were very emotional moments for all of them as his father and his wife both were crying on the test debut of Sarfraz.
At the end of the first day of the test match, India was in a good position after scoring 326 for the loss of 5 wickets. Captain Rohit Sharma and allrounder Ravindra Jadeja scored centuries after the early departure of Yashsvi Jaiswal, Shubhman Gill and Rajat Patidar.
